TRICOD Working Group Meeting was Held

Representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbian, Marijana Filić participated at 30 TRICOD working group meeting, the NATO Codification Committee AC/135 which was held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 15.10. to 19.10.2012.
TRICOD working group was established by Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary, with the aim to co-ordinate the codification efforts regarding of codification of weapons and military equipment - eastern origin. Slovakia, Bulgaria, Russia have been become the members of working group and Serbia will join in the future period.
On this occasion presence of representatives of the Republic of Serbia at the meeting was useful. Concerning coordination of codification efforts - codification of main items, direct cooperation with the member states was established. Introduction of the problems regarding of implementation of codification system and resolution methods were completed. In the next period TRICOD project - codification of Howitzer 122 мм 2S1 (S) will be implemented by Poland and Serbia, which is in line with our plans for inclusion in the TRICOD working group. Howitzer is commonly used by Republic of Serbia and Poland.
